They typically work alongside other health professionals in a medical team with the aim of providing the optimal clinical outcomes for the patient.

Mental health / Psychiatric nursing is the specialty area of nursing that focus on the promotion of mental health, prevention of mental illness and rehabilitate the client with mental illness.

The students to assist in developing expertise and in depth understanding in the field of psychiatric nursing. It will help the students to appreciate the client as a holistic individual and develop skills to function psychiatric nurse specialist it will further enable the students to function as educator, manager and researcher in the field of psychiatric nursing.
