REPORT ON NATIONAL YOUTH DAY - 2026
In commemoration of National Youth Day 2026, the Department of Mental Health Nursing organized PIC and Speech Competition on 12th January 2026 to honor the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and to promote awareness on the role of youth in nation building. The competitions witnessed active participation of 10 students from different batches, who enthusiastically showcased their creativity, ideas, and skills based on youth-related themes. The events provided a platform for students to express their perspectives on youth empowerment, leadership, responsibility, and values.
The competition was judged by Mr. Kanthraju S, Department of Community Health Nursing, ACN, and Mrs. Shilpa P M, Department of Child Health Nursing, whose fair evaluation and encouragement motivated the participants.
OBJECTIVES :
1.To celebrate National Youth Day and propagate the values of Swami Vivekananda.
2. To enhance creativity and oratory skills among students.
3.To motivate youth towards leadership and nation building.
4.To promote active student participation and confidence.
PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS :
The programme was organized and coordinated by Mr. Chethan B S, Department of Mental Health Nursing. After evaluation, the winners were declared as follows:
* 1st Prize: Ms. Athira, V Semester
* 2nd Prize: Ms. P A Anjana VII Semester
* 3rd Prize: Ms. Gouri
Prof. Victoria Sarvand, Principal, ACN, graciously distributed the certificates and prizes to the winners, motivating the students and appreciating their enthusiastic participation.
The celebration effectively fulfilled its objective of inspiring students with the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and fostering confidence, creativity, and leadership qualities among youth.
